G2 ageing? swag is, Smemg On October 18, three lovely girls began their reign as the Homecoming Court of 1965. These three girls were nominated by the Varsity Football Team as representatives of beauty and poise. Linda Lee, Kathy Perrine, and Gayle Whiteley vied for the honor of Homecoming Queen. By a vote of the student body, Gayle was chosen as Queen with Linda and Kathy serving as Princesses. Pat Carvalho, foreign exchange student from Brazil, served as Honorary Princess. Homecoming Week began with ci Kiwanis luncheon for the girls on Tuesday. Wednesday, the girls were honored by a dress-up day and a faculty tea after school. 9 , .... ... , 6 4 9 QQQQQQ Q pggw , ,i, E - N, psy if i 't 1 Q ' . A .5 sa .' Queen Gayle was crowned by last year's Homecoming Queen, Mrs. Carol Antista Wiles. As a representative of the boys of the school, Mike Shaniuk kissed each of the court and crowned the three princesses. After school, a caravan of cars, led by Queen Gayle, drove through town creating spirit and a few minor traffic iams. At the smashing victory over Bell Gardens, Gayle and her court reigned, ending Homecoming 1965.
