Presented by the TCHS Fine Arts Department, i'Bye Bye Birdie , the Broadway musical, was most success- ful. Plans for the production began last year, and actual rehearsals were begun as soon as possible this year. Cast practices took place in an empty building in Temple City, while the stage crew worked at the Playhouse. The show drew from the combined talent of the Music and Drama departments, headed by Mr. Ben Godfrey and Mr. Michael Kosturick, respectively. In charge of dancers and choreography was Miss Mar- gie Mohr, assisted by Miss Carolyn Dunn. Mr. Roger Lockie was director of vocal music. Hugo Troncoso, junior, played the title role of Conrad Birdie, the rock 'n roll teenage singing idol. xi i'7 . fp if an ff' ' ff, - f TCU : at J ba I . , 11' 's 'lsltdi N'q Mv ' 1 i 'Wall ft ,A rt ,gf Senior Jeff Burke portrayed Albert Peterson, Birdie's manager.
