The Tell City High School March- ing Marksmen, again completed an- other year of first place competition. Mr. James Ashby and Mr. Henry Wolfe, in their first year at Tell City, kept the band in winning form, a long standing tradition. The band swept the state competi- tion in Salem, Indiana, to capture the Grand Champion trophy. They also placed second in the field and street judging. Many firsts were taken by the musicians at the state solo contest. The band marched at football games, participated in parades, and gave concerts while the pep band per- formed at home basketball games. Far left: Drum Majores Janice Crawford and Kathy Goble.
