SENIORS A MEMORABLE YEAR The 1981-82 school year started on August 26th. The senior class chose as their president, Frank LaFond, vice-president Sharon Sellers, secretary Angela Griffith and treasurer Cathy Flynn. Student Council representatives were Marty Farber and Rick Kostrzewski. Homecoming was their first senior activity. Tony Jenkins and Verli Stefan were chosen as king and queen. Lynette Selby, Mark Warner, Angela Ray and Dave Sweet served as attendants. In the float competition they placed second with a washer. Fall Festival rolled along and the class decided on a turkey raffle. Soon came candy sales with the seniors breaking the school record by earning $1,500. May 7th at 10:00 a.m. the seniors took off to Kings Island for Grad Nite. In spite of the rain and cold weather everyone had a good time. They returned home at 8:00 a.m. tired, but with a lot of happy memories. May 14 was senior skip day at Pikagon State Park in Angola, Indiana. Everyone spent the day eating, swimming and soaking up the sun. May 15 the Junior-Senior Prom was held at Wilder Creek Conservation Club in Marshall. Entertainment was provided by Northern Lights. May 21st was senior exit day with awards being given out and wills, prophecy and mock elections read. (Top) Salutatorian Toni Reimer and Valedictorian Tony Jenkins.
