Spirit Day Building Spirit The Student Council, once again, sponsored Spirit Day. This was the third consecutive year that it has been held. Through the week, there was decorating of windows and dress up days. Friday was competition day between the classes in the gym. Some of the events included the wheelbarrow race, ping pong, egg on a spoon race, and building a pyramid. The sophomore class took first place with the seniors coming in second, and the juniors taking third place. (Top Right) The sophomores are shown here winning the pyramid building competition in 15 seconds. (Middle Left) The seniors and juniors compete against each other in the inchworm race. (Above) Frank LaFond and Toni Reimer are winning this event for the junior class by making 48 words out of the word, “juxtaposition.” (Left) Sophomores, Gordon Grinnell and Lori White, are shown here trying to beat seniors. Jamie Sisco and Ralph Zeitler, in the doubles ping pong tournament. 16
