Spirit Day Competition Held to Boost Spirit On Friday, Febraury 2, the Student Council sponsored something new to boost the spirit of the school during basketball season. They held a Spirit Day. made up of competition between classes. The juniors were the overall winners with a total of 64' i points. Some of the activities that were held were, a basketball free throw, wheelbarrow race, pyramid building, inch worm, math quiz, word search and egg and spoon contest. The competition lasted all morning. (Top I eft) Mr. Spirit '79 (Principal. Dr. Joseph Serra) talks to the student body about the Spirit Day Activities. Fall Festival Fun for Everyone On Friday, February 17. the annual Fall Festival was held by the PTO. The following classes and organizations had booths: seniors, softball throw1: juniors, frisbee throw: sophomores, free throw shooting and pizza sample: freshmen, softball toss: eighth grade, dime toss: seventh grade, pick-a-color; journalism, picture sale: Student Council, raffles: Varsity Club. THS souvenirs; library, book sale. The Fall Festival not only raised money for the organizations, but made for an evening of fun for everyone. Cabaret A Variety of Entertainment The ninth annual Cabaret was held Saturday. March 24. in the high school gymnasium. “Movin' Along was the theme chosen. Mistress and master of ceremonies were Annette Brewer and Bryan White. The stage band started the Cabaret and a variety of acts followed ranging from singing, dancing. gymnastics to skits. During intermission, refreshments were sold. A lot of work was put into planning and decorating for the 19 Cabaret by the Student Council and their advisors. Mrs. Vilma Carlson and Mr. Wayne Mason.
