Basketball As this book goes to press the basketball season is not yet complete. The games to date are as follows: The Tekonsha Indians started the season off with a 55- 27 win over Montgomery. Two more wins followed in rapid succession with Climax falling 31-27 and Mendon 49-34 in league games. The Indians then fell off as they lost to Jones- ville 44-28 and Camden 48-29 in a midwinter Christmas tour- nament at Hillsdale. An Alu.mni team defeated the Indians 35-25. The team then lost its first conference game to Burr Oak 71-49, but won its third by defeating Mendon 27-22. The Indians bogged down again and were beaten by Concord 34-32 and by Saint Charles of Coldwater 41-33. The fourth conference win was chalked up with a 59-48 win over Clinfiax. This win assured Tekonsha second place in the Southwestern Michigan Class D. Conference. Burr Oak won the final con- ference game 53-35 and thus took the championship. Determined to get back in the win column, the Indians went to Saint Charles and dropped them 44-34. This broke a four game winning streak of the Saints. Montgomery was de- feated 31-29 in the closest game of the season. Basketball Schedule Varsity Reserve H V H V 55 27 Dec. 6 Montgomery, Here Z2 9 Clinqaxv, There? 21 49 34 16 Mendon, Here!
