Junior Class History At the first meeting of our Freshman class we elected our class officers, which were: President, Don Teetersg Vice-President, Chris Seedorfg Secretary, Doris Waffleg Treasurer, Janice Williams. The second week of school we were initiated by the Sophomores in front of the student body. There were many embarrassed Freshrnen by the time it was over. After the initiation we were treated to ice cream and cake. At Halloween we had a booth at the Guild Hall and a float showing a Fall Scene All the proceeds of the Carnival went toward remodeling of the Gyrn. For Christrnas we enjoyed a program in the assembly and exchanged gifts. On the last day of school we had a track and field meet. Our opponent was the Eighth Grade. At the first class meeting in our Sophomore year we elected officers. The officers were: President, Don Teeters, Vice-President, Marlin Gallup: Secretary, Doris Waffle, Treasurer, George DePew. Later George DePew moved away and we elected Betty Lou Thomas as our Treasurer. Our chance came to revenge ourselves when we initiated the Freshmen on September 25th. They had to wear what we told them to wear and do stunts in front of the student body. Our King and Queen candidates for the Midwinter Carnival were Virginia Evans and Don Teeters. 807: of the proceeds went toward the Gym Building Fund. We enjoyed movies and refreshments in the gym on the last day of school. Our Junior Class officers are: President, Bill Michaelg Vice-President, Norma Newman: Secretary, Cecil Deang Treasurer, Janice Williams. Our first event was a dance which we sponsored after the homecoming football game. Starting October 14 we had a magazine sale lasting 10 days. High salesman was Norma Newman. We made 515117.65 which we certainly needed. Later the school put on a Halloween Carnival in which we had two booths. One was a candy booth and the other was a bowling game. We made about 5B20.00. We were very glad when our class rings arrived on November Z. For Christmas the class drew names and exchanged gifts. 15 lv
