Front row-Robert Bronson, Robert Doupe, Lee Auringer. THE C team this year has had a fairly successful season. Under the leadership of Robert Doupe and Coach Offerman the team developed from a green squad into an exceptional group of players. Coach Offerman had no experienced material: every member of the team was developed through his careful tutoring. Some of these men probably will be found' on the A and B teams in a year or so. The C team deserves a great deal of credit for its work this season and the student body should give them more of their attention and support. FIFTY-THREE Y'

In the second half our boys determined to win, and played excellent ball. Tehachapi C213 vs. Lone Pine C183 Tehachapi's team-work and shooting proved to be superior to that of Lone Pine. Tehachapi C173 vs. Victorville C163 This was a hard-fought game, but Tehachapi kept up its fight and determination and nosed out at the long end of the score, beating their rivals by one point. Wilson was responsible for the basket that gave us the victory. Tehachapi C213 vs. Lancaster C323 Although Tehachapi lost, our team was not defeated nearly as badly as the score indicates, and a great deal of credit is due to the players. Tehachapi C193 vs. Shafter C173 This game was played on our home court and the Tehachapi boys thought they had a good chance to win. Shafter fought very hard but the Tehachapi boys fought a little harder and came out on the long end of the score with Wilson making the winning basket and also being high point man. Tehachapi C73 vs. Barstow C223 Tehachapi played at Barstow in this game and lost. The boys played exceedingly well, but it was on a strange court and a cement one also. Tehachapi C153 vs. Lone Pine C143 Tehachapi went to Lone Pine with the determination to win, as it was the last game of the season. Wilson and Dean starred in this game by making the free shots 'which won the game for Tehachapi. The score was close but it was a well-played game from every angle. 1 W ff 'Nf S n A 2 w v 5 , So Mmlsen ,l P Mun RW D 'f'E . 5 THE Lqnfm-w nam-or IT J FIFTY-TWO

Coach Offerman opened the season with an interclass track meet. In this meet much new material was uncovered. The Juniors won the meet easily with 6515 points. The Seniors made 45 points, the Sophomore and Freshman classes following closely. All the classes tried hard, but the Juniors had superiority in numbers and were able to enter a man in every event. This track meet was a model of sportsmanship with all the boys taking their defeats in the best of spirit. The Winning team consisted of the following: Gordon Fraser, William Dean, David Williamson, Harry Cowan, Fay Adams, Lee Auringer, Stephen Valdez, Eusevio Acedo, Theo- dore Forester and Pete Olive. DESERT LEAGUE TRACK MEET This meet was held at Lancaster, April 15, 1933. The competing schools were Lancaster, Lone Pine, Bishop, Victorville and Tehachapi. Tehachapi did not have many heavyweights to enter in the meet so made only five points. Track Individuals Theodore Forester took a third place in the 120-yard low hurdles. He stepped the sticks in good time, considering he had had very little practice. Gordon Fraser, one of our best all-around track men, had an oi day and only took second place in the high jump. Jose Narez, Joe Errea, Stephen Valdez and Francis Wilson deserve credit for their efforts although they did not place in any events. Lightweights The lightweights made a very good showing and won third place in the meet, making 20 points. Robert Bronson, competing against much larger boys, took third place in the football throw. Frank Narez took a third place in the broad jump and also ran in the final heats of the 50-yard dash. Lewis Dye, our three- quarter miler, took second place, giving his opponent a hard race. Pete Olive took first place in the 660. James Purbaugh, the fastest light-weight in school, took first place in the 50-yard dash and first place in the 100, also. Robert Doupe deserves mention as he ran in the final heat of the 50-yard dash. A15151515151515151515151515154 nnnn.33n'J5nQ33nL1 F . 5 15 15 151515 151515 11x15 151515 15151515 15 11 15151515
