Mr. G. H. Offerman is director of the orchestra, and it is largely due to his worthy efforts that this instrumental association has enjoyed such a successful season. The orchestra has appeared frequently before the public and has gained a favorable musical reputation through furnishing entertainment at all high school dramatic presentations as well as other school functions. 41469-E Ag as ARE snub'-5 ,xvlf m3nmxn1.pn:4nnm14 n:nnnn3ax3 THIRTY-ONE I :Q rx 11.11 lull in pn.. 15:1 I

CONSUELO CORTEZ OH, PROFESSOR, a farce comedy- in three acts, was presented at the high school Auditorium Jan. 12, 1933, by the student body under the direction of Miss Smith. if if' 2' The plot centers around Michael Pemberton, a wealthy young man who has tagged Patricia Patterson from one European capital to another until he loses track of her and has nothing to do but to return forlornly to America. He, in turn, is tagged home by Fifi, a determined little French beauty who has construed a casual remark made in Micl1ae1's impossible French, into a proposition of marriage. Fleeing her, he runs into Professor Percival Courtwright who is on his way to substitute at a girls' school. They decide to swap their problems, and Michael armed with Percival's credentials, presents himself at the school. ' 'F it No sooner has Michael started playing professor than up bobs Jimmy Anderson who in order to get out of a jam tries to pass himself off as a girl. Then in breezes Patricia Patterson, followed by the temperamental Fifi. The prim Miss Frederica does her best to make everyone behave properly. After many complications Michael wins the beautiful Patricia and Fifi takes Percival on a Parisian honeymoon. 'F 2' i' Each one in the cast played his part well, each being particularly suited to the role he or she played. Lee Auringer's impersonation of a misunderstood girl was well portrayed. Ruth Fraser as Miss Frederica did exceedingly well also. Eusevio Acedo as Jake, the janitor, kept the crowd in a continuous uproar. xL3mgnr:u : .J1x1xax.ln1xr .pnnuf .lunar 11:51. .lxnnpnpnlnlx 151511 .anpxngnpulnanlxlmpnll THIRTY-'IWO
