UNDER the direction of Mrs. Emery the hiking club was organized for the purpose of creating more interest in outdoor life. The most im- portant hike up to date was to Keene, soon after the flood. EMERY - - - Imperatoi' A GREAT many important matters were taken up in the Romanum Senatum this year. All the laws. rules, and important matters have been preserved in documents of importance four Latin notebooksj. Our Imperator, Mrs. Emery fand a very strict Imperator she is, as in the days of ancient Romej has taught us very well so that we now speak fluent Latin. Under our Imperator the club has had many good times to- gether. Several parties were held and Roman games were the main feat- ure of the meetings. The Senatus Populsque Romanus is one of the most interesting clubs of our school. Although it is small, it is growing larger each year. Our purpose is to interest students in a foreign people, to increase culture, to gain social experience and increase oral ability and fluency. TWENTY-NINE

Mr. G. H. Offerman is director of the orchestra, and it is largely due to his worthy efforts that this instrumental association has enjoyed such a successful season.
