All the laws. rules, and important matters have been preserved in documents of importance four Latin notebooksj. Our Imperator, Mrs. Emery fand a very strict Imperator she is, as in the days of ancient Romej has taught us very well so that we now speak fluent Latin. Under our Imperator the club has had many good times to- gether. Several parties were held and Roman games were the main feat- ure of the meetings. The Senatus Populsque Romanus is one of the most interesting clubs of our school. Although it is small, it is growing larger each year. Our purpose is to interest students in a foreign people, to increase culture, to gain social experience and increase oral ability and fluency. TWENTY-NINE

SMITH - - - Consejero THE mountaineers have grown from a baby organization three years ago to the large organization of today. There are two sections of the club with different officers for each section. This is necessary as the club meets during school time so the second and third year meetings are held separately. The object of the club is to further the student's interest in Spanish through activities of different types. These activities include Spanish plays, games, stories and jokes. The meetings of the Spanish clubs are characterized by the absence of English. All officers conduct the meetings in Spanish and a fine is imposed upon any member who speaks English during club meetings. The third year Spanish club group enjoyed an enchilada party in February, and all the mountaineers and teachers reported a very enjoy- able time. lnlnlxltltlxnxpslnlnlnln may xxqxnnglpunmxnxlnpunnmxlnpnilgpnlxlnnnnlanmnlxlmlnlllxpmnnlnpl TWENTY-EIGHT
