Front row-Ernest Capdeville, Jose Narez, Consuelo Cortez, Angelita Castillo, Francis Wilson, Joe Errea. OFFICERS ERNEST CAPDEVILLE, President MR. ORRIS S. IMHOF, Advisor ON September 15, 1929, a group of twenty-two students gathered in front of an apartment house which was to be the first high school in Tehachapi. Our Pioneer Club consists of those students who started their high school careers in the old apartment house. All of these students are graduating this year, but we fondly look back and then think of the progress made during our four years of high school. Progress has been achieved in every school activity. Our second year saw a new high school and an addition of one extra teacher. Athletics began to play an important part in our high school life. The following year another teacher was added to the faculty. Improvements have been made on the school grounds and our football and basketball teams are now on a par with other high schools of our own size and larger. Much credit must go to our advisor and principal, Mr. Orris S. Imhof, one of the sturdiest of pioneers to which a great deal of our progress has been due. We must not forget the untiring efforts of Miss Mildred Jones, our first teacher. We feel as though we have been true pioneers forging ahead through the wilderness to extend our frontier for those who come after. Now, after four years we are leaving our tasks, still far from being completed, for future classes to complete. E l T TWENTY-FIVE
