Kathy McDorman receives the citizenship award. Graduation time means something dif- ferent to everyone that experiences it. For all of us it was a time to look forward and look back. A time for memories to come rushing back . . . and for new dreams to form. For most of us the graduation ceremo- ny was the last time to see old pals and friends. Many of us will go away next year, whether it's to college or to the service, or just away. So the ceremony was a very special event. To some of the class it was just another thing to go through before being free. That day was indeed special to each and every one of us in some way or the other. Maybe it was because you got to see some relatives or close friends that came to town for the ceremony. Maybe it was all of those presents that were waiting to be opened. Who knows. Each of us will remember that day in our own way, for- ever. Commencement. The end . . . the beginning . . . the memories. Mr. Dean Craycraft escorts the graduates to their seats. 97
