Enthusiastic Crowd Applauds Boys' Glee Minstrel Recognize anyone? The audience en- joyed guessing the identity of the grease painted hoys in Minstrel. Merri- ment. Everyone who attended Tecumseh's second annual Minstrel Merriment on the night of Feb. 21 was amazed at the near-professional talents of the members of the Boys' Glee Club and their supporting cast. Mar- vin Pflaumer as Mr. Interlocutor starred along with John Smart. Lowell McGlothin. Dick L. Griest. a nd Ron Phipps as endmen. The audience laughed at the stories told about the students and faculty. The Georgia Bells. Dixielanders. and a dancing trio, were added at- tractions. Conceits, Contests, and Precision The band welcomes the returning alumni on Tecumseh Field at the homecoming football game. The Tecumseh High School Band had one of its most active years in 1960 and 1961. It all began in August when the band first met at camp. Not only did the band give excellent performances for the foot- ball season, but they also continued to be active throughout the year. Their long practices proved worthwhile when they received a superior rating at the district band contest and went on to the state contest where they earned an excellent rating. In addition to these activities, the band entertained at the Christmas Concert and at a joint concert with the Defiance Band in the Spring.
