THIRD ROW: Gene Wallace, Skip Wolfe, Steve Shinkle, John Reynolds, Dick Ross, Ned Reading, Dick M. Griest, George Bolton. FOURTH ROW: Warren Mununa, Art Snyder, Ronnie Riffell, Fred Bergman, Terry John- son, Gary Monteith, Don Yeager, Manager Bob Smart. TOP ROW: Managers Hugh Wallace and Dick Reise, Dale Still, Lowell Mc- Glothin, Skip Bryant, Ed Flora. Twelve weeks of practice, 37 boys, and nine hard- fought games earned the 1960 Tecumseh football squad a season record of three wins and six losses. A- 28-0 victory over Southeastern, who outranked the Arrows in the final league standings, an outstanding battle against top-ranked Shawnee and the placement of Denny Helmer as All-League Defensive Linebacker and Lee Weidner as All-League Defensive Tackle illustrate the determination and hard work of the players. Their potential can be seen in the awarding of All-League Honorable Mention honors to Fred Bergman and Dale Still, who are both juniors. Team honors went to Lee Weidner. Honorary Team Captain; Denny Helmer, Most Valuable Player: and Dale Still, Most Improved Player. Dedication of the new football field, Parent's Night, Homecoming game, and the annual football ban- quet were among the highlights of the 1960 football season. Football Managers The football managers Bob Smart, Dick Reise and Hugh Wallace clean football shoes, one of the many un- seen and unsung chores of the boys who, although they do not play, are important members of Tecumseh's athletic teams.
