By End of Year, Headlines and Deadlines Are Familiar to Annual Staff The end of the road in producing the annual comes for staff members in June after commencement pic- tures have been taken to complete the book. By this time an annual staff member has learned a number of printing terms and techniques and has become very familiar with the problem of meeting deadlines. The staff of seniors selected in the fall of 1960 managed to meet all copy shipments — barely — and to cope with many problems — breathlessly — and finally waited — eagerly — for the completed books to arrive in August. TOP: Production editors Ethel McKinney and Janis Armstrong talk over a copy problem with Mrs. Upman, advisor to the staff. BOTTOM: The layout and typing of a page are discussed by Carolyn Taylor, Sherrie Frick and Marilyn Bezona.
