men On OLir a» On August 22, the class of '89 began their first year in high school;a time that they thought would never arrive. They started off the year with two new students which made the class total 28 but this declined by one at the end of the first semester. The freshman class became involved in many activities throughout the school. They participated in the high school athletic activities and joined the many different clubs such as FBLA, Drama Club, and Y- Teens. Also, several freshmen were involved in the all-school plays and musical. This was the first year that representatives on our student council expressed their views about our school. This year was the first year the freshmen participated in the homecoming celebration by being selected as attendants, enjoying the dance and cleaning up afterwards. Overall, the '85-'86 school year was a terrific way to start! The next three years should be just as great! Amy Binds and lenncne Shuey. 25

Zjwo yJear.'t J-t jt J nd (Counting . . . Two years left and counting was the thought of many of us when we first walked into school as Sophomores. Our first main project was to decide on a Homecoming theme. We finally came up with the theme ,Heaven and the colors light blue, blue, and silver. We also had to sell jewelry, calendars, and etc. to raise enough money to pay for the D.j.'s and for other expenses that went along with Homecoming. Class rings were the big thing this year since we had been waiting for them fora long time. Also, since most of us were just turning sixteen we really looked forward to getting our licenses. This way we could go cruising without out parents tagging along. Altogether, this year has been a great year, even with Biology! 24
