Media Learning Center Improvement Mrs. Parrish, center photo, is head of the Media Department. In the Media Center Mrs. Parrish helps students to find resources and materials needed for homework or for reading pleasure. The Media Center is not only for the students, the teachers also use many of the resources available. Mrs. Parrish teaches Library Science, which shows the students how to catalog, file, and use the various types of equipment found throughout the Media Center. Mrs. Naber, left photo, and Mrs. Richert, right photo, both work in the Special Ed. Department. In this department the teachers help students with learning disabilities to accomplish things like students who do not have a disability. Mrs. Naber and Mrs. Richert both see improvement among students because of the special teaching skills provided by themselves. Because of such accomplishments in the classroom some students may no longer need the special ed. they receive. E.P. showing L.P. and F.R. how to sort and file. Mrs. Naber and Mrs. Richert checking on student progress. EUNICE PARRISH came from a small farm near Elk Creek, Nebraska. She is now a resident of Tecumseh. Mrs. Parrish attended Peru State College where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. Later she attended the University of Nebraska where she strongly earned her Master’s and Doctor’s Degree. Mrs. Parrish enjoys working with the students of THS and watching their progress throughout the year. Mrs. Parrish has a husband, Jim, and two children, Joy and Jim Jr. JAN RICHERT is originally from West Virginia, she attended Doane College which is located in Crete, Nebraska. Upon graduation she received a teaching certificate for Biology, grades 7 through 12, and a certificate for Special Education, grades K through 12. Mrs. Richert says she enjoys working with the students of THS. Mrs. Richert has a husband, Jim, and a son, Joshua, who is two years old. COLLEEN NABER grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska for one year, she then finished her education at Midland Lutheran College located in Fremont, Nebraska. Mrs. Naber has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education. She enjoys watching students achieve and grow as a result of what they have learned in the classroom. Mrs. Naber has a husband, Larry, and a daughter, Alicia, who is one year old. 29

LARRY ANDERSON: Teaches American Government, U.S. History, Psychology, and Geography. VIRGIL BLUMHORST: Teaches Social Studies 7, Social Studies 8, and World History. Mr. Larry Anderson was born in Omaha and raised in Pawnee City. He attended college at Peru State for four years and spent one summer at Doan College. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree. His major was Social Science and his minor was General Science. His wife Carolyn teaches in Aurburn. They have two children, Kip age eleven and Karey age six. Mr. Anderson likes the challenge of working with young people and watching them progress over the years. Mr. Virgil Biumhorst was born on a farm near Talmage, Ne. on March 1, 1919. He attended college at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1941 and a Masters degree in 1969. He also received an Education Special degree in 1973. His wife's name is Rose and they have no children. Mr. Biumhorst likes meeting new students and sharing the knowledge of history with them. Well, Freud said that ... 28

DIANE FROST — Geometry. Algebra II, and Trigonometry. MARCEE MULLER — Math 7, Math 8, Algebra I, General Math I, General Math II, and Algebra I. The adventurous Mathematicians in rooms 201 and 302 took on the year by adding to their mathematical minds the science ot numbers and their operations. Living through the students daily ups and downs, watching them grow, and laughing with them are the greatest rewards of this profession,” is the statement Mrs. Frost made, when asked what she liked best about teaching. Diane Frost is originally from Lexington, Nebraska. She went to UNL and graduated in 1977 with a B.M.E. and a Master’s Degree in 1982. Her husband, Steve, is a C.P.A. Marcee Muller is from Wakefield, Nebraska. She went to Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, for four years. Miss Muller attended summer school at Wayne State College, UNL, and Peru State College. She has obtained a B.A. Miss Muller enjoys working with young people and helping to provide an educational experience. Miss Muller! I got the answer! Kris working her theorems.
