Heavy Metal The Industrial Arts Club started off the “82-83” school year by electing their new officers who appear in the group picture. The Industrial Art Club members cut fire wood during evenings in the Fall to sell for cash. Many club members enjoyed this money making project and it was profitable. During the winter the club held worknights in the evenings so that they could work on projects of interest to them. Many members worked on a variety of projects ranging from wood-working to heavy metal. Nine Industrial Art Club members along with their sponsor took one of the school vans and attended the State Leadership Conference in Lincoln for two days. State officers from THS were Brian Volkmer, President; and Steve Carpenter, Secretary. The conference was held in the State Educational Bldg. Not now Sherml! Eric, deep in thought.
