Physical This year for the first time boys and girls T-Clubs were combined. Their first task was painting the weight room and the coaches dressing rooms over the summer. When the school year started they decided to have a parents' night for the football, volleyball, and cross country teams. Their fund raising activities included taking tickets and officiating at the Tecum-seh Jr. High Volleyball Tournament, being the chain gang for all junior varsity football games, taking down and putting up chairs and tables for the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce Banquet, and selling official district volleyball T-shirts. The year concluded with the purchasing of chenille emblems for athletes who made All-Conference, All-State, or were State qualifiers. T-Club was sponsored by Mr. Roger Hill and Mr. Ted Harshbarger. They were active at Homecoming by assisting with the coronation by ordering flowers, making banners, and doing the candidate write-ups. Money raisers included spirit grams which were very popular again this year, and having the wrestling concession stand. Heart Sister week got wild at times when the secret pals left surprises in their Heart Sisters locker. The Easter egg hunt went off well with the help of our Y-Teens Easter Bunnies to hide the candy for the Tecumseh children. The year was topped with a Field trip to Lincoln to visit the zoo, although the girls got as wild as some of the animals at times. Mrs. Richert kept them under control. Jody is caught in the act. Kelly - Its all in the line of duty! Amy is Santas little helper. 25

Senior Student Council Representatives: Dave Miesbach and Bob Watteyne handing out report cards during Parent Teacher Conferences. Take It Easy The Student Council's first order of business in the new school year was to elect officers. They elected Dave Miesbach (President), Pat Johnson (Vice-President), Laurie Ramsey (Secretary), and Jill Parrish (Treasurer). They performed their routine duties such as coordinating the homecoming activities, running the elections for Homecoming King and Queen and County Government Day, being guides for open houses, handing out report cards, and making a suggestion box available for students. A new edition to this years activities was honoring the teachers during the “Nebraska Tribute to Teachers”. The council put up signs saying Thank You Teachers!”, awarded teachers certificates of appreciation, and made some cakes for them. The council’s major source of revenue was a foosball table in the guidance counselor’s office. It’s revenue was used to fund any expenses encountered by the council plus a few scholarships at the end of the year. Some possible ideas for activities to finish out the year were a career day for high school students and a Dollars for Scholars fund. Dave Holthus studying (?) and Pat Johnson taking it easy while handing out cards. 27
