Cheerleading - Emotions In Motion The varsity cheerleading squad was made up of four seniors- Barb Gobber, Angie Carson, Renae Koehler, and Sheri Packwood. One Sophomore — Tammie Sabotta, and our little mascot — Karey Anderson. It was a fairly new squad so they attended UCA summer cheerleading camp in Lincoln for one week. They learned new cheers, jumps, routines and pyramids, it was hard, but they showed spirit and won many ribbons and the spirit stick. They won 2nd in the parade, ordered new uniforms, and had to work early morning practices into their already busy schedules. They had many creative ideas for all of their pepralleys, homecoming days, and homecoming parade, posters and many others. This years cheerleaders were a special group of spirited girls, when they were cheering for the Indians it truly was emotions in motion . We wish the 83-84 Cheerleaders success in their leadership. Once upon a time ... Doesn't that hurt Renae? GO BIG T Cheerleaders show skill and spirit. 24

They were active at Homecoming by assisting with the coronation by ordering flowers, making banners, and doing the candidate write-ups. Money raisers included spirit grams which were very popular again this year, and having the wrestling concession stand. Heart Sister week got wild at times when the secret pals left surprises in their Heart Sisters locker. The Easter egg hunt went off well with the help of our Y-Teens Easter Bunnies to hide the candy for the Tecumseh children. The year was topped with a Field trip to Lincoln to visit the zoo, although the girls got as wild as some of the animals at times. Mrs. Richert kept them under control. Jody is caught in the act. Kelly - Its all in the line of duty! Amy is Santas little helper. 25
