Class Officers — L to R: Tom Garris, Sec.; Tim Yates, Treas.; Suzanne Davison, Pres.; and Dennis Bane, Vice President. Freshman of “83” ... The Freshman Class of 82-83 got off to a good start this year with 12 additions to the class, increasing its population to 38, later decreasing to 36, with the departure of two people, Dave Bicknell and Winnie McDaneld, whose families moved and they transferred to other schools. All of us were enthusiastic about taking part in high school sports, clubs, and activities, and even cleaning up after Homecoming. Already, our class is planning for next years’ Homecoming when we get to decorate for the dance, and we've started raising money by selling pens and tickets to the games. Our only major casualty was when Lavon Othmer broke both his legs in a riding accident. But luckily he wasn’t hurt worse, and we can only hope that next year will be better. With the arrival of the new Freshman Class also comes new-found talent. Three Freshmen, Matt Hamer, Allen Mitchel, and Lucinda Mahoney, were chosen to play leading roles in the Drama Departments’ Fall play “Finders Creepers.” Good Job. We’ve had great times during our first year of THS and look forward to many more in coming years.
