The first thing on their minds was to make some money. The girls sold cakes at BB VB games. The traditional parents nite for the VB BB games were held, and flowers were purchased for the mothers. The busy schedule of the girls, stopped a lot of accomplishments, that could have been made, but all seemed to work. To show the spirit in our club, the girls performed a skit before the boys played in regencies. The future plans of the club is to buy new banners for the conference teams that were lost. They chose the colors light blue and silver for the candidates and attendants banners. While people were making banners, others were writing stories for the paper and the football program. Next on the agenda was a field trip with the FHA. They left one morning for the Youth Developmental Center at Geneva and the Women’s Reformatory at York. Between the two stops they ate Godfather’s Pizza. In January, a potluck supper was held. Heart Sister Week came upon them the week before Valentine’s Day, in which they played their gags and jokes on their Heart Sister. On Friday they gave each other their gifts and told who their Heart Sister was. As usual, the group packaged candy for the Easter egg hunt for the kids of the community. 27
