 «ve »e f . . .our world today is full of people surging in every direction-going places, doing things, getting involved. People are continually looking for new things that will mean something both to them and to the world. They expand their outlook on life and push outward. The Tomahawk staff of 1971 decided they would compare this movement of people with the movement of water. Ripples created in water move outward, growing and growing--just like people’s ideas. They expand, merge, disappear, and become exciting waves. Each idea or ripple is different than the others. People are different, too. We cry out to be separate individuals yet comparable to others. Human nature and Mother nature. They are so different, yet so alike. As we look back over the years, waves of memories come rushing toward us. All the fun, excitement, and problems of growing up have expanded our outlook on life. We should never stop learning, progressing, creating.
