The royal celebration was made complete by the annual Homecoming Dance, held in the gymnasium following the gridiron clash between the chiefs from the south, Pawnee City, and our own Indians. 6 Go ahead Rog, ask me.'' Terror of the floor. Sweetheart ance T-Town's annual Sweetheart dance was put on by the Sophomore class February 27. Decorations consisted of red and white streamers strung across the room and in the entrance door way. Above the thrones was a cupid. The royalty was Kathy Rohrs and Bob McNergny. Attendents were: Pat Borrenpohl; Ann Chittenden; Marg Rueter; Judy Doty; Jim Holden; Roger Lempka; Gary Mahler; Bob Repp; Mike Mahoney; Carol Arnold; Russ Eltiste; Janice McCoy; Denice Warden; and Shellby Hendee. The Club stresses good sportmanship, win or lose and in or out of athletics. This year the T-Club sponsored a dance and the Freshman Sophomore Invitational Basketball Tournament. With the proceeds from these activities, the Club members took a weekend trip to Kansas City and saw two major league baseball games. 28 FIRST ROW: B. Luenberger, B. Jones, L. Melnts, M. Mahoney, J. Rathbun On JL T-Town, with Mr. Everett Nails Davis seeing his first year as the Indians' head football coach, proved they had desire, but emerged with a season's record of two wins, four losses, and one tie. Although the record is not too impressive, the Indians were seldom very far behind when the final gun sounded. The season was highlighted by the 32-20 win over Falls City Sacred Heart, which was the first time the two schools had met on the gridiron. The 31-0 slight stomp of Humboldt was also quite impressive. Post-season honors went to all-conference first team selections, Bob McNergney and Lynn Campbell. Bruce Haughton and Dan Davis were given honorable mention. High hopes reign for next season as Coach Davis will have some nineteen returning lettermen back on the gridiron, but the schedule will be increasingly tough, as it was this year, but with added competition.
