IN HIGH SCHOOL ...how excited we were when we found how much the class increased in the ninth grade when Thereasa Masur, Henry Waterman, Norman Jury, Esther Bader- scher, Arlene Farley, Raymond McCoy, Regina Weak- land Eileen Brockmeir, Wanda Jacka, Phyllis Sack- man Joann Aitken, Pauletta Masur, Bernice Rade- macher, Donna Mattox, and Betty Evans became our classmates? ...the Freshmen theatre party? .... the first school dance we attended? ....the dis- eases that broke out at the first of every year? ..when Robert Carman and Gordon Mattox joined the ranks? ..the Sophomore hay ride? ...when activ- ity tickets came into use? ...when Edsel Bartles and Bernice Bartels came up from Elk Creek in the Junior year and later Harold Good, and Ed Wolfert joined us? ...the Junior Hard Times Party? .... the first time we walked across the Senior High Study Hall? ...the first football and basketball games in which boys from our class played? ...how terrible dress rehearsal was for the operetta in our Junior year? ......the Junior-Senior Banquet and the volcano that erupted on the back-board and wouldn't come off? ...the first time we were called Seniors? ...the Senior Dinner? page sixteen
