The same evening. Around Lightnin’ and his Calivada Hotel, Winchell Smith and Frank Bacon have woven a story full of real human, heart interest. As we follow the many adventures and misadventures of Lightnin’; his contacts with the various types of our American people; try with him to solve the problems confronting many; we find ourselves moved to laughter and tears. Our interest moves on through the theft of the timberland; tne scenes in the court room; the rivalry of the judge and lawyer over the hand of the fascinating Mrs. Davis; on to the final action where, back in the hotel which is again his own, Lightnin’, in his characteristic way assumes the responsibility of bringing together Mildred and John.
