Graduation Commencement excercises were held May 16, at 8 p.m. at the football stadium. Commencement speaker was Terry Hames, National FFA Vice-President, who told the 118 member class that success is not a limited one-time offer. It’s limitless without price. Terry was one of the youngest graduation speakers in THS history at age 20. Class colors were burgundy and silver and the class flower was a white rose. Pictured Right — The Class of '88 graduates. Savage Homecomings Catch the Action Holly Bourland was crowned Basketball Homecoming Queen by last year's queen Shelly Taylor on Feb. 5, 1988 in the new gym. Holly was escorted by Eric Schimmel. Savage fans showed real school spirit in cheering on our winning teams. The theme for this year's Homecoming was Hearts on a String.’’ The opposing teams were from Seminole.
