Melot, Asst. Superintendant Jim Myers, and the usually be- hind-the-scene school board members are always busy making decisions affecting each student and teacher at Tecumseh High School, with C. Johnson, secretary keep- ing the paperwork running smoothly. Whether approving a 3-day class trip to the Ozarks for Chorus or planning use of the $480,OOO bond issue for the construction and operation of the 13-class school building soon to be erected, these men take into consideration the views and opinions of those concerned and those affected. Board of Education Tecumseh Public Schools W. L. Straughan-Presldent Jesse McCullar-Vice President Lonnie Hurst-Clerk Darrell Coker-Member Jim Pritchard-Member Principal Ron McClure headed the Jr. High staff members and students with the aid of office personnel Cindy Humphrey, while high school office activities were kept flowing by the staff of Counselor Johnel Harrison, Secretary Marie Kochick, taking care of business and registrar, and Sandy Hampton monitoring attendance, typing, and keeping communication moving throughout the school so that students and teachers could stay on their toes with cur- rent scholastic events. A Gilbride was beneficial to stu- dents as she aided them with her library skills. JO In the Junior High English courses taught by B. Langston and C. Gardner pupils earned English knowledge that was further challenged by B. Kieffer's English III IV class. Students who were interested in foreign language found refuge in K. Wolf's Spanish courses. Junior High stu- dents managed to keep everything together with the constant counseling G. Gower. Physical action and mental coordination were combined to help com- plete the benefits of nealth and teamwork. Whether on the football field with High School Coach Murray or Jr. High Coach Jim Hudson, on the J.H. Wrestling mats with E. Mekush or participating in the Spe- cial Ea. class with P. Keeler, involved stu- dents exerted themselves in a thrill of victory and achievement. 22 Physical education this year was stressed by junior high coach D. But, they can also be a beginning. For the Seniors of 78, the end of this song is the beginning of a hot new song. For the rest of us, the end is the beginning of the next verse of a golden oldie. This book was designed to help you remember 1977-78 with the songs you made hits this year. 1978 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR ................FOR MEMORIES. IT WAS ALMOST LIKE A SONG.
