In Memory of REED COLLIER During the nine years from 1952 to 1961 that Mr. Collier spent with us serving as principal of Bernard and Girls Town, he was more than just head of a department. To each student he was a guide, a mentor, and a friend. We all realized the loss of a truly great person with his passing on September 7, 1961. Whenever we needed advice he could always be counted upon to give us wise counsel. In addition to giving constant attention to our requests for help, he taught us good citizenship, respect and honor. Al- though, it may be somewhat late, we believe you can know and understand that in return for the priceless gifts of knowledge and inspiration you have bestowed upon us, we deeply express our gratitude.

Dedication In appreciation for the loyalty, deep understanding, and love of our school, we think it most ap- propriate that we dedicate this 1962 SAVAGE Annual to our beloved friends, Julius and Erna Krouch and the late Max Krouch. A feeling of humility and pride reigns supreme in the hearts of the students when they think of the regality of the generosity of the Krouch family - of having given their time, devotion, and efforts in making our school and our town something of which we are proud. The liberality of the family has made possible for the public schools and the children of Tecumseh, the Krouch Elementary School with its playground facilities, Band Room, Vocational Agriculture Building, Board of Education office and the park. Your labors have not gone unrecognized but these few words are a small token of the affection and respect we shall ever hold for you. Our lives are richer and fuller because of you. It is natural that we should desire to show some expression of our appreciation. Quality which gratifies the heart is surely a definition that represents the Krouch family.
