Languages, Art, Music Enrich Curriculum Because the international good will so necessary for maintaining friendship between nations expands with knowledge and interest in other countries, the four foreign languages taught at Tech are receiving more attention. After two years of study these students acquire a basic knowledge of sentence con- struction and pronunciation as well as the customs and the history of the people who speak these languages. To the artistic element at Tech three years of varied art courses provide an oppor- tunity to develop this talent. Art classes include sketching and drawing, applied art and special interest projects. Musical ability can be developed by participation in Tech's musical groups-both vocal and instrumental, Under guidance of the directors, students learn the fundamentals and theories of music plus performance skills.
