With Related Journalism, Speech Courses The English curriculum includes more than awkward adjectives and pesky participles. Besides the basic English problems Tech English students learn to express themselves in themes and term papers and to enjoy prose and poetry. A typical sophomore English class studies world literature, Silas M arner, and Shake- speare's Julius Ceasar. Juniors may study Our Town, The Yearllug, The Red Badge of Courage, or The House of Seven Gables as ex- amples of American Literature. The senior classes read British literature with emphasis placed on M acbeth. All seniors are required to write a term paper. Many juniors, in addition to their English class, take journalism.
