Mr. James K. Michie Superintendent of St. Cloud Public Schools Mr. Robert C. Miller Director of Vocational Education Administration Plans To the outsider, Tech is just a maze of classes, students, teachers and extra-curricular activities. But behind the outwardness stands the administration, working always for the best interests of Tech students in approving and coordinating the school calendar. Superintendent James K. Michie has earned all possible respect from teachers and students alike as he now completes his second year at Tech. Mr. Michie is known not only as a fine administrator but also as a kind, understanding, friendly man who enjoys chat- ting with Tech students in lunch line every day. Another familiar face at Tech is that of Principal F. J. Herda, who serves as a friend and counselor to all Techites. In addition to his schooltime duties, Mr. Herda is very interested in extra-curricular activities and never fails to lend a guiding hand Whenever possible. Mr. Michie Works with the Board of Edu- cation in financing, maintaining and expanding the school system. The six board members are elected by the voters of the school district for a term of three years. Working with Mr. Herda is the Advisory Board. This group, composed of faculty members, handles new problems and important school decisions. Behind all vocational activities is Mr. Robert Miller, Director of Vocational and Adult Education.
