1940-41 T llllllE And you didn't get the picture, do you think 9 that he'll do that run over again so we can get it in the Techoes? Such subtle sarcasm and flex some on the heavy side resulted from missed assignments, unkept appointments and lost copy that sometimes appeared in the produc- tion of this Techoes. All troubles were gone though, when we raced to the printers and had him place in our hands the first finished copy of the book that had within its covers the story of Tech in the years 1940-41. The business staff that pounded the pavements in a search for the advertisements that made our book possible are to be thanked for this Techoes. OUR EDITORS-Jean Vickers and Pat Ervin. Mr. Wittmayer, adviser, Ger- ald Berger, managing editorg Nancy Gale, editor: Helene Lang, associate editor. 4 0-41 TECH THE TECH, Quill and Scroll, tournament programs and Christmas Seal drivesg all these are memories of those who haunted room 123. Deadlines that crept up before we were ready for them and copy that failed to live up to assigned length both helped in seeing that there were no peaceful moments in the lives of the staff. Through it all we learned more about expressing ourselves in a journalistic fashion and got a very small taste of the life that belongs to those who live behind the headlines that we read. Even now we hear our editor yelling, It's a feature and it just has to be a news story. QUILL AND SCROLL-Back row: Ervin, Ergenbright, Snyder, Berger, Hartmann. Middle row: Stangl, Almer, Simmers, Vickers, Gale. Front row: Butler, Lang, Hollern. This club sponsored the seal sale and has the reputation of being the eatingest club in school.
