Deadlines that crept up before we were ready for them and copy that failed to live up to assigned length both helped in seeing that there were no peaceful moments in the lives of the staff. Through it all we learned more about expressing ourselves in a journalistic fashion and got a very small taste of the life that belongs to those who live behind the headlines that we read.
