Q Q O 0 Q The passing of the 1931 senior class from the Technical High School marks the departure of one hundred thirty-seven more young people who have known the helpful influence and guidance of Miss Elizabeth Clark. Miss Clark has ever been the friend and counsellor of all students who have come in contact with her. Since 1911 she has been the driving force and dominating power in the school, and it is she who has borne the responsi- bility and grief of managing hundreds of students each year. It is largely through the untiring efforts of Miss Clark that the Technical High School has attained continuous scholastic recognition as a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Because of her unceasing and loyal support, extra-curricular activities have flourished and brought fame to St. Cloud. Unbiased and unprejudiced, she has always upheld the spirit and morale of Technical High School To the Class of 1931 As you have dedicated your yearbook to the older Tech let the old Tech spmt pervade your lrves and the old Tech memories keep fresh and green In your hearts Elizabeth Clark I Q 9 lo o o-L20 9 0 O' l'-if-l '.'l llllN X O Y 0 Q 6 1 o 0 44,0 Q frfwlnarr Q J x 1 E 9 6 I WHA A lit' W Ol BOOK ll CLASSES Uhe Reaper, Q History of Classes Slnce tl1e 354 111011 sehool students 611161611 the new 16611111011 Hlgll Sehool bllllfllllff on J111u11x 31 1911 1 048 131111118 11 uc been ll ulu nted 11om tl1e 1ou1 yexr COLIISL lhe number 111 t11e gradu 1t111ff cl uses 1115 x lY'lCtl 110111 ye ll to ye tr Wltll 46 ln 1911 11S the sm 1llest group 1nd 146 ln 19 75 11111 1979 IS tl1e 11rgest L ntll 1973 tl1e outgomg 21011115 tultd to bra 111 the 111111111611 111 1111 but ln th 1t ye 1r 170 Iecelxed then sheepslum 1l1e 1974 1111011 dropped to 105 b t 1975 SlW 1 record 146 gr1du1te Prom 1976 up to the pre ent tune c11sses hue 1XtI'l4LZBCl 1bout 130 11115 yt II s sen1o1s 1111111136611 131 lhe 1n1t11l enrollment of 35-1 ln 1911 grew hom se1r to neu to 405 1n 1918 4131n 1970 6161111 1977 10711114175 down to 6611n1978 1ncl1e1ched Jun1o1 Hlgh the number th1s xe.11 was 1bno1m 1111 deQre1sed to .134 The 1970 f1cu1tx numbered 77 but 1930 enrollment 1equ11ed 31 peda vogs '1h1rty tools mre of the 11111195 for the 534 students th1s tt1m The 1un1o1 lllgll school plan VV1'1lC11 XV1S1l 1lL1UllI'1tEd tl11s xeu IH the St C loud Publlc School sx stem 1115 IS one ot tl1e 111111611311 1IU'LlII16HtS for 11S adoptlon the fact t111t It reduces to a INIIIIHILIITI the number ot elghth grade gr1du1tes who f111l to tontlnue thelr edututlon 'Numerous surxeys show th 1t bx ff1r the g1e1test numbtl 01 students leaxe school when thex complete the elffhth Ur1de E.XClLltllI1fT of touxse ffr.1du 11t1on from hlgh school therefore It h1s been prox ed tl11t 11 tl1e1t lre no gradu 11t1on ceremonles unt11 the end ot tl1e n1nt11 gr1de the slft oi tl1e tenth elex ent11 1nd twelfth grades .1re lncreasecl decldedlw Although the n1nt11 graders or freshmen numbel less th 1n those oi lust xe 11 n 1mely 193 no trut g1uve of the sutcess ol 11115 NX su 111 c an be prox ed untll lt 111s oper1ted 1o1 1 1e1son xble length ol t1111e O O 0 . , , s,,. , . . . g . . . 1 ' ' 1 1 1 v ' ' 1 7 ' -. 1 - -1 1 '- I.
