One of their first steps was the presentation of Hearts by the members of Mrs. Trochill's advisory. The profits of this play were used for Christmas decorations. The class was well represented in athletics by teams in basketball, kittenball, and volley ball. ln the fall of '29 after having had a whole summer in which to recuperate from the almost fatal finals, the class assumed the dignity of sophomores and chose john Tessari and Fred Camp- bell for their ofiicers. By means of the annual Freshman Frolic which took place during the Christmas season, the sophomores entertained the freshmen. In addition to their gym work, thirty-three of the girls formed a drill squad known as the Peptomists, which after becoming proficient at marching and forming figures, and after securing uniforms, performed between halves at basketball games. Two clever pep fests were given by sophomore groups. ln the preparations for Homecoming, the sophomores diligently decorated the building. Zeal in their welcome of the old grads and enthusiasm for the football game between Tech and Mound gave them inspiration for their float in the parade. The class of '32 has still two years to travel before they will obtain their goal. Undoubted- ly, they will continue to display the eagerness for success in all their school activities which they have shown thus far. 0 4 N. V, .v b afm A! V4 b . E 1 -' L. .
