L k ,.?. 9 O O 0 .... it seems such a short time ago that we first darkened the halls of Tech. lt is, in fact, much longer than we first expected. Dur- ing this time we have grown to appreciatefthe glory that is Tech. We now know the reason why, in spite of time, there will always be a Technical High School. It is true indeed that Tech be- longs to 5al1 of its students. How- ever, to the seniors, Tech means a bit morei It is here that we have built t e foundations for our fu- tures. 'ow at parting, we must pause and look back at what has passed. All of our memories are on pa- rade before us. The football games, the class dances, all of the good times we enjoyed, they are all here to see. Here also are our class- mates and friends, the people that have shared our experiences. We have here a complete record of our last year at school that we can constantly look back over. May these pages never lie still and col- lect dust, but be worn smooth by th f andling of many hands. TECHNICALLY SPEAKING-- Consider these facts about our graduating class: lt is the largest class Tech has ever graduated. lt is one of the best classes, scholastically, that Tech has ever graduated. lt is one of the best classes, activity-wise, that Tech has ever graduated. The number of Seniors qualified to be con- sidered for the Warner Achievement Award was the largest ever. So---in the light of the above facts, we would expect the winners to be of unusual cali- bre and unusually worthy of this high honor---and they are: .Ioan A. Burns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Burns of South Road, Hampden, typifies the best in the tradition of our Charles F. Warner Medal win- ners. Scholastically, she ranks third in her class of 653, the highest girl in the class. This achievement has been balanced by her outstanding contribution to the school in extra-curricular activities. She has served on the Tech News staff for two years, being Editor-in-chief this year. She has been active in GAA, Pep Squad, and Drill Team groups. Club and class activities have rounded out her fine record here at Tech. Congratulations, Joan!
