Mr. Fales Technical High School honors an outstanding member of the faculty on his retirement in June. Mr. Fales Newhall has taught modern languages here for thirty-six years, coming from a varied and rich experience in private and public school teaching. In the private school field he had taught at the Black Hall School and Cushing Academy, in the public school field, at New Haven, Conn., High and Gardner, Mass., High. He graduated from Wesleyan University and attended Harvard Graduate School and Middle- bury. The principals under whom he has worked at Tech A. Newhall are and always have been most appreciative of him and his work. His associates and students know him as a superior teacher, always eager to help in the cause of learning. They know him, too. as a gentleman and teacher of the old school embodying all the concerns, hopes, and ambitions for the well-being of young people and Technical High School. It will be hard to think of Room 208 as the class- room of any other teacher. Who will get out the chess boards next year? Our best wishes for a long and enjoyable vacation, Mr. Newhall. Si.
