M. Marciis Kiley, Principal Ni. Marcus Kiley is more than the principal of Tech: he is a part of Tech. To fwfr. Kiley, Technical High School is more than his place of business. lt is a living, breathing thing, and he treats it as such. The students are the very blood of the school, and it is necessary that their characters be strong, vital. and rich that the institution may flourish. fN4r. Kiley has taken upon himself the task of seeing that every student be given the opportunity for a well-rounded per- sonality and a background that will enable him to enter the working world in a manner worthy of a Technical High School graduate. Mr. Kiley has a deep understanding and fond affection for every student. Each is an individual per- sonality to him, and he treats him as such. lt is a rare junior or senior whom Nlr. Kiley cannot call by name. He is not only concerned with the curriculum of Tech, but is a strong supporter of all activities. Xlr. Kiley is anxious that each student feel that he himself is a stock-holder in this school. A phrase, which is always on his lips, is Tech belongs to those who make it. Mr. Kiley, as principal and friend. takes a genuine pleasure in hearing of the success of those who have been graduated from Tech, and glories in the fact that our graduates can be found everywhere in the world. Nl. Marcus Kiley is a member of the Massachusetts State Organization of Secondary Schools. He may be found at many meetings of the Kiwanis Club and the Standing Committee of Athletics. He is a prominent Elks member, and was on the committee for the essay contest, which was open to school children. He is understanding and willing to converse with any student on any problem which might arise. That a student might gather valuable information concerning colleges. he conducts weekly college preparatory assemblies in which he informally answers any questions which are asked. When a student leaves Tech, he carries with him a portion of the school: and who, carrying even the smallest particle of Tech, does not also take with him a bit of the philosophy of Nl. Nlarcus himself? 0
