Senior Cabinet NDER the sponsorship of Miss Helen Smith, Mrs. Reva Vander- bilt, and Mr. William C. Moore, and under the leadership of its officers Clifford Heath, Robert Stewart, Frances Sutherberry, and William Koch, president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer re- spectively, the Class of '43 carried on with banners flying. I The main objective of the senior class is to raise enough money to leave a suitable gift to the school. With that purpose in mind, sev- eral afternoon dances were given in addition to the class prom, The class also undertook the completion of payments on the yearbook for those seniors who had joined some branch of the ser- vice, however, this undertaking applies to this class alone, and is not intended to establish a precedent for future senior classes. Because of the present state of national affairs, everyone has had to do without many luxuries. For this reason, our class dance, Pennies for Victory, was not so glamorous and elaborate as others have been in past years, however, this fact did not prevent a good attendance and a gay evening of dancing. 27
