COUNCIL ACTI E IN '7 -'7 The Teague High School Student Council is an organization estab- lished to improve the school's condi- tion and represent the student body, the school itself, and the commu- nity. The council is composed of five officers, four representatives from each class, and organizational presidents representing the other school organizations. In addition to sponsoring annual suppers and Teacher Appreciation Day, the Council is very active on both dis- trict and state level. The Council attends two district conventions each year, where this spring, they were elected to serve as Second Vice-President for District 6. This fall they will host a convention for about 900 council members across their district. The officers also went to the Texas Association of Student Councils State Conven- tion this May, where much valuable information was obtained to help with next year's council. It 4 A 66 'YW
