At the football game on Friday night, Lynne Erickson was announced Homecoming Queen. She was crowned at the dance held in the cafeteria on Saturday. Miss Rose Hanson, chosen Honorary Homecoming Queen, was given a bouquet of roses at the ball game. The fall play, January Thaw, was given November 10 and 11. In this three-act comedy two families, the Gages and the Rockwoods, claim possession of the same house and live in it at the same time. The resulting difficulties range from arguments to love affairs. This year they sang at Cedar Falls High, took a trip to Grundy and Reinbeck, and gave a joint spring concert with the orchestra. Mr. Wickstrom was the director. ORCHESTRA - The seventy-five piece orchestra, directed by Mr. Wickstrom, played at Webster City and twice at Waverly. Their combined concert with the chorus was in May. BAND - The concert band, under the direction of Mr. Aurand, was made up of fifty- five people. In the spring they made a trip to play at two schools. Their concert was presented May 3. I . He visited the Stone Age, Greco-Roman times, Medieval Days, and ended up in good old 1957. The show was given on March 21 and 22. PRISCILLA HAKE Play Day was held on June 6 at the Campus School. Priscilla Hake was crowned May Queen of 1957 by her escort, Mike Collard. Crown bearer was Carol Sue Macon.
