Q 1 A, . s A i , , , ,a-5'F 4' . ' '. ' A ,s,. . , si , , ,.... L tg' .gg its . Dr. Dwight Curtis, Head of Depart- ment of Teaching AIIMI l 'l'liil'l'lll You are perhaps aware that the academic standing of the classes in TC High is very high in comparison with other high schools accord- ing to the Iowa Tests of Education Development which you take each year. For this achieve- ment, you are to be highly commended. It seems not so long ago that high school stu- dents considered it not smart to be smart. But there are other reasons why it is a real plea- sure to be associated with the students in TC High. You show unusual initiative in assuming responsibility for so many activities in school. You set high standards for yourselves indivi- dually and as a group. You take advantage of the many opportunities in our school to discover and develop your abilities. You have a keen sense of fair play and give everyone a chance to succeed. Thanks for helping to make TC High a wonderful place in which to work. Seniors, congratulations. Please come back to see us. Dr. Paul Brimm, Principal There is always a feeling of pride when one is associated with a group that is doing a good job. Many of the activities of our school give us this feeling, but it is the responsibility of each oft us to see that our record is improved. Our graduating class can, and undoubtedly will, reflect much credit to the school and those who remain have an opportunity to make this a better school. Each individual can measure his success by an answer to this question, ls this a better school because l have been a stu- dent here? In life, as in school, your contri- butions to a better way ot living will be the im- portant measure of your success.
