THE 1989 PEAK STAFF PROUDLY DEDICATES THIS YEAR’S ANNUAL TO © MRS. BRENDA DAVIS. “ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE” To capture the spirit of Mrs. Brenda Davis in this small space is indeed a challenge. We have chosen to honor her because she is the embodiment of Tazewell High Schools most cherished ideals. Mrs. Davis is, of course, a teacher, one who has for eleven years guided students to competence at the typewriter keyboard. Beyond that, however, Mrs. Davis is a friend, a fan, and a cheerleader in the spiritual sense of the word. Always ready with a cheery greeting, a Rind word, or an encouraging opinion, she has lifted our spirits on countless occasions. Her energetic pace feaves us amazed; we marvel at her stamina as we follow her up and down, around and about. We have found Mrs. Davis unfailingly approachable; never have we been afraid to ask for her assistance. Nor can we recall a negative response when time has been solicited toward any cause that the improvement of our school. To know.Mrs. Davis, however, is to know that her interest is not only in Tazewell High School but in each of us as individuals. Her concer fas imprinted itself in our fives in a manner that neither correction e nor white-out can erase. Although she is short of stature, the tallest of students looks up to Mrs. Davis for her high ideals. We have leamed from her that the highest standards of co are quite compatible with an undeniable enjoyment of life, for Mrs. Davis, in a word, is fun. As we look back through the years at the ways in which Tazewell High School has touched our fives and shaped our futures, we will surely remember that Mrs. Davis cheered us on.
