ADMINISTRATION Py Mr. Charles B. Beggs is principal of Tazewell High School. Mr. Beggs graduated from Matoaka High School and eamed his Bachelor's Degree from Concord College. He later attended Virginia Tech and obtained his Master's Degree. Before coming to Tazewell, Mr. Beggs taught math and social studies in several schools in West Virginia. He has also been an administrator at Richlands High School. Mr. Beggs’ feelings about Tazewell High are summed up by his familiar license plate: THS NO. 1 Mrs. Peggy Lawson is Tazewell High Schools secretary. A glance into the administrative office will quickly show that she is one of the schools fhardest-working individuals. Among her responsibilities are taking telephone calls, correspondence, and general record keeping. Mrs. Lawson always has a smile despite the everyday hassles of the office. Mrs. Iva Dean is assistant principal of Tazewell High School. She is a graduate of Big Creek High School and Concord College. Her Master's Degree was eamed from Radford. Mrs. Dean formerly taught English and math in West Virginia, Tennessee, and in other Virginia schools. Mrs. Dean is always ready to help teachers or students who have problems to be solved. She is an important asset to Tazewell High. Mrs. Mary Hayes is the accounts keeper for Tazewell High School The day-to-day operations of the school require careful accounting for various funds: book fees, club treasuries, picture money, and much more. Mrs. Hayes this year has moved out of the front office in order to pursue her job more efficiently, and many of us miss seeing her friendly face.
