Christine Puckett Gloria Harrison Melissa Moore Cathy Coates AND I R L S’ STATE Seven Tazewell High School students were honored by representing our school at Virginia Boys’ - Girls’ State. With the help of our counselors, state troopers, legislators, and judges, we learned much about our government. After we had set up our city and state government, we participated in party conventions and campaigns, an election, and an inaugu¬ ration for our newly-elected governor. We spent the whole week cheering for our “cities”, marching and meeting new friends. Boys’ and Girls’ State was a week packed with new knowledge and expe¬ riences.
