ts Ts Former students return for friendly chats before school. Mrs. Payne and a “‘friend.” It is with great pride and much pleasure that we dedicate the 1971 PEAK to you, Mrs. Demarcy Payne. Evidence of your guidance, leadership, and school spirit is always present. As Chairman of the History Department, your help and assistance has guided many teachers-as well as students. Your thoughtfulness and untiring willingness to help has made many a day a little easier. In dedicating this book to you, we wish to express our GREAT appreciation for all you have done and all you have given to the students of Tazewell High.
