Miss Witt: Sponsor Seniors Motto: Life is no so short, but there is always time for courtesy. Colors: Lilac and White Flower: White Rose As the class of 1965, we entered T.H.S. the fall of 1960, and we were quite excited about it. As eighth graders, we had a football team and that winter, we had basketball games. Spring brought the anticipated annual eighth grade party. When the colorful autumn of 1961 dawned, we were more accustomed to our responsibilities. Charles Altizer served as Treasurer of the S.C.A. We presented our Freshman Follies talent show, then worked toward our annual class party. As Sophomores, our school spirit spurred onward in the beginning of the school session in 1962. We presented our talent show with success. Charles Altizer served as Secretary of the S.C.A. We were privileged to elect the following cheerleaders: Linda Kiser, Martha Monk, Judy Waters, and Libby Weaver. Members of our class formed a band and played for our class party. In our Junior year we became an even larger part of T.H.S. Charles Altizer served well as Vice President of the S.C.A. Judy Waters, Pat Whittacker, and Marlyn Slaughter cheered our teams onward. That spring we presented our Junior play, Cheaper By the Dozen in order to raise money for the annual Junior-Senior Prom. After much careful deliberation, we chose as our theme, Evening in Paris . Within three short months of sports, dating, working and relaxing, we, the class of 1965, returned to the idolized position of Seniors. Charles Altizer fulfilled the tradition by serving as President of the S.C.A. Judy Waters served as head cheerleader and Pat Whittacker and Marlyn Slaughter worked under her guidance. In November we gave the Senior play, January Thaw.” This year, as is traditional, the Juniors gave the prom. We shall always remember our wonderful high school days. 26
